The Chief completely ignoring that his office made up an offense that did not occur–literally bearing false witness–is very troubling. He should be recalled.
Police are so used to trampling over people and getting their way the 1st hint of someone asserting their rights they deem as combative, uncooperative and argumentative.
And you wonder why there is a disconnection between the public and police
So, they fired the not bad cop and kept the bad one. LOL
As a trained interrogator, the very second that I heard the radio traffic of Officer Malta that he was threatened and told to get off the property, it was blatantly obvious the officer lied in his transmission.
Notice how the volume of his voice lowered, and he mumbled the lie rather than stating it outright with the same volume and force of the rest of the radio transmission.
You don't have to be physically there to see body movements, fidgety hand movements, furtive eye movements, changes in heart rate, perspiration etc… all I did was hear the movement of his fingers on the mic key and hear the change in his voice and it was instant. He lied.
Best case scenario is that none of this would have happened. But because it did, you cannot ask for a better outcome. I'm quite proud of the victim and these cops' careers should be followed and they be blocked from further LEO employment, Brady listed, and mskr them psy for their own food service handler certificates. No help to them.

I think if you pick 1 officer and hide a camera on him you would no doubt catch him lying about different things to get the situation how he needs it. This is just what they do now. The chief will protect his own men, whether they were lying or not. Cops will continue to get away with it when they exercise power irresponsibly because of immunity. Cops have to learn to have thick skin, and not let their emotions or feelings get in the way. The guy that flipped him the bird definitely had no respect for the cop. That is disrespectful. If you were walking down the street and flipped someone off, that would definitely cause an argument or even a fight. People talk about "their rights" but there's a wrong way and a right way of using your rights.
