There needs to be severe JAIL REFORM. I understand it isnt meant to be a daycamp; however, you should be fed with good food, have an actual bed, etc. just basic needs. If you want to actually decrease recidivism rates then make this time productive and teach people how to be productive and learn things that can be used in the marketplace when they are released. Companies should not discourage hiring people who have been to jail because if they dont give these people a chance then they will return to the same old behavior.
The whole Black thing was so unnecessary and untrue and VERY off putting! He's acting as if those people don't put themselves there in the first place! Look up crime statistics!

I mean, I agree with you. I certainly didn’t think you were going to get jail, but it’s called consequences.. you constantly want to press the police. You were rude to the judges bailiff, and you even gave her a thumbs up when she told you how disgusted she was by your behavior. 🤷 I’ve been pulled over a number of times in the last 20 years and I haven’t gotten one ticket. The trick is I am just super nice and super respectful and I give them whatever they’re asking for. And then they go away.

I agree that locking people up in solitary is an inhumane punishment and it causes severe mental health issues, it doesn't help anything. There needs to be a deterrent for bad behaviour in jail, but it would be better if it was done in a more positive manner where you start off with additional privileges like a TV and have them removed for bad behaviour, but you can earn even more if you are well behaved, solitary should be reserved for inmates who are too dangerous to be with others that have broken the rules, but even then they should be given some human contact even if they have to be restrained and they should still be given something to occupy them like books to read or audio books if they can't read.

"No one can be deprived of life LIBERTY or property except AFTER DUE PROCESS" . You haven't been given Due Process : The adjective" Due" modifies the verb " process " into a proper noun. You were deprived of your liberty DURING THE PROCESS and not, as the Law states, " AFTER DUE PROCESS". By extension, all the innumerable people being held until trial in county " Correctional Facilities" are being, according to the Law, illegally detained ! Just imagine your in the county jail and your innocent but the facility is still presumptuously titled " Correctional"
