Be aware, if you're in Canada, the rules are different. If you are in care and control of a motor vehicle, you MUST produce your Driver's license and vehicle registration when asked, however, that is all. You do not have to answer any questions or talk to them at all, apart from producing your license and registration.
And so what if he was asleep? His identification will not let the lie enforcer know if hes ok or not.

I call BS. If he truly LOVED IT when people recorded him, he wouldn't ask why they were.
And then the cop asks Casey to explain a citizen's rights to him? He's just trying to get Casey to either 1) admit to ignorance of the law (so the cop can GASLIGHT him into believing he's breaking the law) or to 2) misstate some legal fact so the cop can correct him and GASLIGHT him into believing that the cop has more knowledge and so Casey will DOUBT his own knowledge of the law.
Why do cops need that ID so much? Is it the first thing they learn at the police school or is it a drug to them?

You should never ever talk to police. Everyone should be serving the police department with a trespass notice. I've severed them one myself and their reign of harassment ended after I did it. Police rely heavily on the "Implied Licence To Enter" doctrine and my trespass notice removed that from their privileges. People should be doing this to add a level of protection. This ends the police department's ability to go on a "Fishing Expedition". Talking to police could disclose something that you do not realize will be used against you. DO NOT TALK TO POLICE, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE ASKING QUESTIONS!!!!!!

Typically a trespass letter from a private property owner governs the hours when the business is not open. I doubt it empowers the police during normal business hours.
