  1. To what extent do you give leeway to police officers who violate the Constitution due to the fact that they have prior military service? Or should they be held to a higher standard?

  2. This is insane and it happens daily all over the country. The guy needs to sue them since he lost his job especially. When I was younger not all cops acted like this but now they all do at some point. I was tormented by them for 6 years by them over a seatbelt violation, initially. It was the day after Thanksgiving and I had just moved in with a friend because we lost my parents house over a tax sale. I went to the store to get some soda and was on my way back to her place and my mind was racing with losing my home and I forgot to put my seatbelt on so when I saw the cop I immediately put it on as I looked at him. I knew he was going to stop me and he did but before I could tell him I was sorry about the seatbelt and explain he yells at me about not lying to him about having my seatbelt on because he saw me put it on. I told him I had no intention of lying and I had already grabbed my stack of paperwork in the glove box and had it in my lap to sort through and I came to my title first so I said I have this but the registration is in this mess somewhere. He then yells at me like I'm a kid about having my title in my car so that's when I tell him I just lost my parents home so all my important papers went in my glovebox when I moved 3 days ago. He didn't want to hear it. I told him I could not afford a ticket right now so please could I get a warning because I had just lost my unemployment money and knew I couldn't afford the 25 ticket in the long run. So he goes to his car and comes back and hands me the ticket and said he did me a favor and gave me 30 days to pay it. Omg I asked him do you think I'm an idiot and don't know that's the law for a ticket? And since I was upset I was being picked on by a cop at the worst time in my life, I angirly asked are you going to ticket me for no insurance as well? He does and tows my car because no insurance. I am 2 blocks from my friends house. I put my wrists in front of him and asked if he could find anything to arrest me for before I walked home and then left. It took me 3 weeks to get the money up to get my car out which was close to 300 and that was from selling my stuff. Then I lost my license for not paying the ticket. So for the next 6 years I received numerous tickets for driving on suspended license because they would run my plates when behind me at a light. This happened at least 7 times. A retired officer I worked with told me to go talk to the prosecutor and tell them what happened and they would drop those tickets. It was thousands of dollars by then because of all the interest when you don't pay. They did drop them all and I finally got my license. The cop was a complete jerk and other cops told me he did not have to tow my car but instead could give me 5 days to correct it. It was insane and I drove in fear daily for the entire 6 years.

  3. Dude won't need a job after he gets his huge payday for his constitutional rights being broken, false imprisonmemt and unlawful detention. I'd lawyer up and take every dollar I could from the city, state and the police department. 🤷‍♂️

  4. Yal saw the girl who was in Indiana get thrown by police ..?? It’s ok I do believe they are asking for the same treatment ya know.. nobody bothers them and they just go crazy on whoever they want must be a handicap thing..

  5. What a joke of an officer. If he served in the Marines he should know better and have more respect for people's Rights. Probably one of those guys that does one tour, complains the entire time they're in, and then talks like a big-shot about it afterward.
