  1. I don't know if cops are trained to violate your rights in the academy, but they are certainly trained by all the people that don't know their rights making it so easy for them to do it in nearly every interaction so that it becomes muscle memory.

  2. Yeah, we re doing YOU the favor by not proceeding with our lame ass forced charges….and then theres absolutely NO apologies or apologetic behaviors on the part of the dickhead officer. Qnd STOP SAYING SIR!!!

  3. Rudy Giuliani instituted unconstitutional policing in NYC when he was mayor. That’s what you get from former prosecutors. Prosecutors are worse scum than many cops. Of course rather than being “America’s Mayor,” he turned out to be America’s wingnut.”

  4. The problem with "reasonability" is that the window of acceptability shifts over time, as more and more people become accustomed to police mistreatment of citizens.
Years ago, this would have been absolutely outrageous when the standard response would have been to either take the guy back to his hotel or call a ride, but this is completely reasonable by today's standards where police are more worried about their total number of arrests instead of their number of actual criminals convicted.

  5. The cop asked him if he was down here for more alcohol and the responses with "yeah". He just opened the door on himself for public intoxication charge. Never answer those questions. If you give them any evidence, they will use it against you. "Why are you in town?" Remain silent and don't answer them. Tell them I don't consent and am going back to my hotel. Tyrants!

  6. I lost confidence in this lawyer of he thinks this encounter depends on the ID check for the suspect's timing of feeling detained. The initial contract did that. Also the cop demand subject come to him and threatened chasing. So YouTube counselor, how dense can you be?

  7. The attitude of the police to a visitor to their town is disgusting! He was causing no harm! A cop like this would get you killed imo! He should be nowhere near the public! Seems to me the man had a drink and went the wrong way to his hotel! The cop is using the mans drunken statement about Israelis and Palestinians to suggest he is a terrorist of some kind! Those cops belong in prison imo!

  8. This is really pathetic on the part of the cops. All they needed to do was talk to the guy and tell him to go back to his hotel. He is obviously pie-eyed and needs to go to bed and sleep it off. They could have then escorted him back to his hotel or watched him go. This was all so unnecessary and just stupid.

  9. Your channel is actually pretty awesome and informative. Unlike other lawyer channels like Bruce Rivers where it’s just mostly crude opinions and personal observations instead of actual points of fact and law IMO.
