Can an officer strike a handcuffed arrestee/detainee because the person spat on him?
Details: https://thecivilrightslawyer.com/2023/06/13/how-to-get-fired-as-a-cop-in-3-days/
Hobbs let that happen and he was the lead officer, he should’ve deescalated the other officer and Colorado has a duty to intervene law that caught up the female officer with the 73 yr old female from Walmart. Hobbs is crap and he should’ve broken contact before it involved anyone else.
And for this jerk to say that she’s not willing to cooperate with him is criminalizing her behavior which is benign as he has had a conversation with her but not to his satisfaction of getting id or her complying with his demands. Dispatch only hears what an officer tells them and not what is actually happening.
That first cop was a bit of an ass. He claimed that she was walking in the roadway when it is clearly a parking lot and since she was not committing any criminal infraction, his request that she stop and talk to him is disengenous and was not necessary.
What the heck is it about Loveland and Aurora, both mid-sized but problematic agencies.
That cop snatched that paper from her and that really pissed her off
This supervisor is really awesome. He doesn't play games.
Every pig thinks they have special authority to know anything they want to know and call their ignorant curiosity suspicion
I know Loveland well! I also know Greely & Ft Collins !! Can tell you for sure the cops in Loveland & Greeley are pea brained Bullies!!!!
She seems to have maybe some aphasia could have some medical conditions but she still was rhyming and her song was fine!
You hit a cop you are gonna go to jail for a long time. They do the same got fired and than hired again somewhere else
I thought spitting was an assault? But she didn't answer deserve that! She needed patience and caring people helping her.
Second time of watching. What strikes me this time, is how unhappy so many of you seem to be and how resentful when you come across someone who isn't.
3 new Youtube blockbusters. Karen. Angry White Man. (political/non-political) and Cop.
This really makes me sad and angry couse even though she is just walking and enjoying her day she then gets harassed by a cop who just wants to start trouble upsetting her she just should have been alone as we can all see she's polite calm and singing a song 😢 and I understand the officer trying to help but she was doing well till he showed up she broke no laws that could have been my mom freedom is no more can't even go out for a walk 😢😢😢😢😢
Ma’am according to our masters you’re not free in free America and they do whatever they want with us cuz they follow feelings and ego instead of law
Colorado AGAIN??
THIS WAS GROSS! YOU DONT HIT AN Old WOMAN.. OR ANY WOMAN… FOR NO REASON! COOS ARE COWARD'$! WEAK! LAME! CRIMINALS. WE ALL COULD HELP HER FIR 1 DOLLAR EACH SO SHE CAN SUE! COPS HAVE BEAT ME UP WHEN HANDCUFFED AMD IN JAIL NAKED AND HANDCUFFED. JUST BEAT ON PPL WHEN HANDCUFFED.. IT GETS THEM OFF IN A STRANGE WAY! ITS GROSS NASTY AMD STRANGE!
Why won't he leave her alone!? She DOES NOT HAVE TO PUT UP W HIM…. THERE'S NO FREEDOM LEFT…
Police misconduct from start. Stocking the poor women through the parking lot when she was bothering no one. With the second going hands on illegally and illegally torture cuffing and then kidnapping her.None of this was legal including charging her for a situation they themselves created. And then instead of doing the right thing they lock her up in their cage for their negligence and not releasing her. When the only crime committed was that of these officers.
Yes her rights were violated, when she was hand cuffed. But what about rights of police officers and nurses she was spitting and kicking? What about her mental state, was she a danger to pedestrians or traffic, walking into traffic? She show signs of mental illness. I believe the officers handled it reasonable, until she was struck in the face. She was aggravated and aggressive is there no protection for the nurses and officers?
If Hobbs were a people person, he wouldn’t have called for backup because she “didn’t want to cooperate.”
His “niceness” was 100% an act. He told her she was doing nothing wrong right before he called his buddy.
Not only that, his display of calculated manipulation, contrasted with the extreme emotional volatility that you usually see in cops, gives him the potential to be just as dangerous as loose cannons like the other guy.
The whole encounter was unnecessary.
She was fine before. Why can’t they just leave people alone! Some people have no business being a cop.
