This reminds me of an incident while on my way home in KY in 2012 where I was handcuffed in the back of a cruiser and then an officer hits me with pepper spray when suffering from PTSD. After that I kick out his back window to breathe and he opens the back door this time to use a Taser on me while still handcuffed…this was only a couple days after getting discharged from the Army. Oh to make things better, I even had a witness who got threatened with the same thing if he reported it to his supervisors! And I was unable to find an attorney to represent me in a lawsuit.
For context, I'm not anti police, my Mom's an ex cop.
Nothing will change until there's an independent investigation, abolished qualified immunity, and the thin blue line gang is labeled as a terrorist organization!
When a judge says he is "stunned" regarding police behavior, he's an idiot. The only way our justice system works is for judges to blindly accept police testimony as infallible, as the rules of evidence DO NOT extend to LEOs' behavior. If LEOs were held to the same standard of evidence defendents are, most cases would be thrown out
