All things considered, why did they kick him off the bus? Everything that follows is excessive, but there are questions that aren't answered. Just saying.
Props to the police officers good job guys you have to be impartial. He’s probably a retired cop so he thinks he can do anything you want those days gentlemen are over. We are all accountable with them without a badge. We are all accountable to the law and the Constitution.
We don't have the full context but I don't really have enough to say that the cops were in the wrong with what information they probably had. Based on what I can see here, they were called to and likely lied to about an active situation by the security guard where the offender was evading his pursuers which could have lead to how he was pinned in the street if he provided resistance
“By battery; which is the unlawful beating of another. The least touching of another’s person wilfully, or in anger, is a battery; for the law cannot draw the line between different degrees of violence, and therefore totally prohibits the first and lowest stage of it; every man’s person being sacred, and no other having a right to meddle with it in any the slightest manner.” (3 Blackstone’s Commentaries, p. 120.)
Note that the police didnt do anything wrong, pinning you to the ground if you resist is valid. They didnt "let" the guard hit him. They arrested him for it! The guard and maybe the company should be sued, not the police doing a correct job
Hiring thugs as police and security is creating a circle of violence that will escalate until someone dies wich makes them go into defensive and cover mode everytime and the guilty ones end up getting transferred without loosing pay whilst the public pays for their goon tactics
This sounds like a waste of the taxpayers time and money. Security guard acted to protect what he was tasked to protect. The police affected an arrest of a violent offender. What’s the problem?
