  1. On the afternoon of October 8, 2022, Anthony Silva's life was irrevocably altered when Stanislaus County deputies unleashed a brutal assault, leaving him quadriplegic and eventually causing his death on September 10, 2023. Renowned California Civil Rights Attorney, Dale Galipo, filed a lawsuit on Anthony's behalf. He joined me to explain the current status of that litigation, including the outrageous fact that no government investigation ever occurred regarding the circumstances of Silva's injury and ultimate death.

Many thanks to California Civil Rights Attorney Dale Galipo, as well as his Associate Attorney Cooper Alison-Mayne, who represent the family of Anthony Silva, for joining me.

  2. How disgusting!! Outrageous! This is very anger inducing; I can’t stand ignorant cops like this. I hope this lawsuit bankrupts this department and these officers are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law they swore to uphold.

  3. From the demeanor of the police after the injury, it appears they were worried that he might actually be seriously injured, and that they were responsible. I think they were acting guilty, hoping that he was okay. Continually asking if he was okay. Offering to put him in the shade with the hope that he would recover. Sitting him up. After the injury his demeanor immediately changed and they knew it showed something more serious had happened. It would also appear that their lack of proper first aid (not moving someone with a possible neck injury is one of the first things you learn in basic first aid) and not calling the ambulance right away also showed that they understood that if it was serious they would face repercussions if it was found out.

  4. he was upbeat and happy, out at a festival, the police come for no reason and ruin his day and unfortunately his life. they just have to find someone to fuck with. but that they did not notice that the man's condition went from alert to semi-unconscious with severe pain is indefensible. this time it was mr silva, next time it could be you.

  5. This story is so disgusting, another case that tax payers will be on the hook for and the cops have probably been promoted by now even given commendations for their "great" work. Perfect example of why people hate cops and the defund the police movement got so much traction.

  6. I really don’t know how to act around police anymore. Tensing up isn’t allowed, even when you’re grabbed from behind without a warning, but even when you’re completely limp, that doesn’t work either. Something is wrong. There is nothing we can do right!

  7. Just so disgusting how quickly some officers jump to using excessive force over the most stupid minute things. Alot of clips you see the officers loose thier patience over something small majority of the time then man handle a person while mocking them as thier way of getting back at the person as a form of petty revenge.

So many times where the person may have accidentally touched them boom assualt charge, arm twist, tazzer and head slammed to the ground. Kinda like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum yelling dont touch me. Just sick then these crap cops leave a bad name for the few who are good officers trying to do thier job safely.

  8. It seems like the state police should be investigating this police department. This was a murder. I know the guy probably won't be missed, but it is hard to believe that the department didn't investigate this, it looks like corruption, whether or not it acutally is corruption.

  9. Hey arent getting prosecuted or reviewd because of the obviousness of the crimes. If it makes it to any review or trial. They will lose snd be fired, jailed, or disciplined etc. I hope they dont have families . prison puts families of guys like this under great dtress … And the rest of tye fam had nothing to do with it

  10. This entire incident was absurd from the initial point of contact.there was no reason for anything beyond a consensual contact to determine any reasonable purpose to even detain this man. He should have been able to simply walk away or at most been asked to leave the grounds of the event. He had done nothing criminal, all he had done was draw the attention of someone who made a call alleging possible intoxication. He was not unruly or even seemingly intoxicated that could have been determined in the brief moment before he was accosted and taken down by the LEOs. Horrible injustice. So what if the guy was down and out! He was at a public event and minding his own business.

  11. I have stopped following majority of these channels. Why? Because the answer to all these issues is “sue.” What we have seen over and over again is that suing police departments does absolutely nothing for abusive and felonious policing in the larger scale. Litigation, body cameras and the constitution does nothing to curtail police actions like these.

  12. These videos infuriate me. How these thugs are not held responsible is beyond me. They are so smug, such flaming assholes. I can only hope they get prosecuted and thrown in jail.

  13. I remember seeing this when it happened and its absolutely atrocious. The a-lot of cops these days are animalistic in their behavior. They don't De-escalate, they don't have respect, they blame whatever happens to the suspects ON THE SUSPECTS. Oh your necks broke after we slammed you to the ground, that's YOUR fault. I'm not against ALL cops, but some of these cops need to take a chill pill.

  14. The city don’t want to pay for police officers wrong doing
The police are tasked with remove unwelcome people from public places
Some officers routine violate poor peoples civil rights
Looks like lawyers and his family are going to get a lot of money

    .

  15. No legal action against Police is what has allowed us to continue. The public always has to pay for it and they never pay out of their pocket too many of do not lose immunity and get away with it all it is a very, very powerful employment position that has a lot of responsibilities and legal responsibilities attached to it, and these people have ignored it.

  16. I saw this happen to another man. Cops didn't care then about that man.
Just shows how CRUEL POLICE ARE. Sadists all of them EVERY ONE
    OF THEM THAT WAS THERE.
