I got charged with a dui sitting in the passenger seat of a broke down vehicle. No keys even in the vehicle and I was not driving I told the officers i was not driving and he said I believe you were and arrested me and charged me with dui. These cops are absolutely pathetic. This system is broken beyond repair.

In Australia we have the little breath test machines and a lot of quick breath test stops, but our traffic police are very respectful. We dont have that BS walking the line s .t! Its just a formality here and only a very few people are offended by it. And theres no extra inspections ticketed at these tests unless its something so aggregious or unroadworthy.
When I first came to Australia my family and I were stopped by New South Wales motorcycle copper they look dangerous with their navy jodpur trousers jack boots and hip holstered pistols, but he was polite.
We are seeing a lot more bad behaviour in the police ranks, rampant alcoholism drug dependancy and criminal tendencies and what egos wow!
Thing is that if you are a clever, law abiding cop with any street smarts, you can write tickets all day long and even give yourself a lot of space to just give warnings.
Word travels fast. People will talk about the officer letting them with a warning and next time giving a ticket for not wearing a seat belt.
This kind of officer will be respected by the public and loved by his superiors.
The other half of that statement is : even though you're innocent, you can be arrested, locked up, possibly convicted !
Here in Australia almost everybody pulled over is breatholised as part of the stop. Many are are required to do a lick stick test (mouth swab) hat takes 5minutes and will show cannabis of meth in your system. My state of Tasmania is the only state you can drive high with a medical cannabis card. There is no youch your nose, stand on 1 foot BS here, straight to roadside breath test. If you fail the road side then its back to the police station for another breath test on a better machine. If you blow over sgain then you are charged and 10mins later you walk out with a court date for the next month.

My cousin just went to jail for public intoxicating and cop said just cause his eyes looked red and blood shot…..he also has glass contacts seriously he has glass contacts in his eyes trust me he always having issuies with his eyes getting irritated and he rubs them his eyes turn bloodshot but cop took him to jail charged him with disorderly conduct to because he was trying to explain his situation and even told the cop give me a breathalyzer or blood test and cop just got even more pissed and told him no so they took him and charged him with these charges with no evidence its crazy they are even allowed to arrest you and book you in the jail without providing evidence they should start having someone at the jail or somewhere to review the case and facts before you actually get booked in jail just to make sure its legit and not just a pissed off cop chargeing you for bullshit and having nothing on you and putting you in jail its not the fact that it can be beat im court its the fact you have cops commiting crimes they dont get charged for when they swore to an oath i thought that ment you swear to protect and serve so if you break that oath shouldnt you be held fully accountable for your wrongs…???…whats swearing to a oath for if that oath has no ramifications you break a oath your obviously a criminal if you break that oath that should be facts i just dont understand the only thing that makes sence is they all partake in not upholding there oath so they are all still on the same team…..you don't know what a criminal is until you see what your going to jail for and realize they are doing far worse to you than the bullshit they are charging you with its the biggest gang they will take you stuff,jobs,money,cars,houses,times,kids,family,anything they can to hurt your life but how dare you say a cop can break the law they was just doing there job its what they have to do hahahha one day time will come where we can laugh at them for the stuff they finally get held accountable for and say hey bud tell it to the judge…..
