May I suggest you offer window stickers that, BOOM! The officer can see you are a real civilian WHO KNOWS AND IS PREPARED before they try to bestow fear and tyranny. Social experiment that helps the good cops be good right out of the gate.
Whether he's doing it for hits or not, everyone should take a lesson from him to learn what your rights are. The police do lie, and it is good for you to be well versed in what the law and the Constitution are. These are your rights, so don't let them get violated.
I've never had a bad interaction with police and rarely get pulled over and I don't need to do all that. Just drive like a sane person, quit speeding, and have normal human interaction. Not that hard unless you're constantly a dick driver… then you're gonna get what's coming.
