remove 'automatic' qualified immunity……make it a privilege that the public servant must 'apply' for….it should be granted by a state or federal court, Not by a JP or magistrate or judge within the same jurisdiction of the cop….then, make the cop pay the damages out of their own pocket, or out of their retirement funds….give the 'good cops incentive to get rid of the 'bad cops'….
I would say if the nurse has a spouse, they should be allowed to treat the detectives wife the same way, but it's highly likely the detective treats his wife and kids that way already.

Chili I gave this a like even though I hate it when I know more than the reporter because he didn't do enough research the patient here was an off duty cop that had his CDL and was Driving the truck at the time(his other job)and burned very badly now I know cops are often on drugs but A Commercial Driver Better Be Clean and Detective Bozo Should have realized that fact and given it a minute the hospital is already running tests Bozo
