never give consent to police, always make them have to do things by force, that doesn't mean physically stop them, just state that you don't consent. By doing this, you strengthen your position in a lawsuit against the police when they violate your rights. The moment you give consent, it immediantly weakens your position, even if you withdraw it.

Why didn't they just access the ring camera with their lawful reason and watch it to confirm the guy was or wasn't there? It is after all one of the stipulations on having one. Gump said it best.
so if a cop is serving a search warrant do they even have the right to purposefully damage property if it isn't in the interest of serving the warrant? i understand you break down a door, but there is no need i can think of to throw a ring doorbell camera , it isn't preventing you from serving your warrant in anyway, and to top it off in this case there wasn't even a warrant to begin with.
Is there an alternate universe where people trust the police and they always have the citizens rights and best interests at heart? I mean not here, but somewhere…lol. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of trust and respect in the US. The ones who agree with tyrannical behavior in these threads are usually cops. We had to uphold the afghan constitution to the highest regard, in a combat zone. We can’t even get that treatment in a “free” country.

I got a tip, ( never open the door or speak to cops). No warrent, broke the door, hey cop in charge, you can post yourself just off my porch until I get it fixed, next week.
