  1. I still do not know how much money these plaintiffs received. Did they get the entire $135k, or was most of the $135k used to pay attorney fees? Were the attorney fees capped at some percent of the amount awarded, say 25% – 40% ? Or did the client get the entire $135k, and the attorneys were paid their over-$100k fees by the State, over and above the plaintiff's award? Or did, heaven forbid, the lawyers get nothing for all their work?

Sometimes people brag about how tough they would be, shooting burglars, purse snatchers, looters, shooting some kid walking across their lawn, etc. I like to remind them that even in a case of self-defense they better have $50k in their savings just to cover their bond and initial lawyer fees, and much more if the case goes to trial. Now I need to up that warning to maybe $200k, maybe even $500k, the minimum required to mount an adequate defense even in a case of a self-defense shooting.

  2. They wanted to buy there way out trouble. That discuting and here the thing thats not honer integrety and there goes the trust and we allready didnt trust any cop to be honest,,,they just wanted buy there way out. So if they done no wrong like two crimanl cops said y try buy there way out. There no such thing as they had coming they arnt to be there side or ares. Cops are supost to be nutural at all times ..discuting police …never trust them again i know the little i delt with them and now this to back up what i seen there all dirty

  3. I wonder why evidence tampering wasn't mentioned? Police are quick to charge it.

Was an attempt made to recover the deleted video files? They are typically fully recoverable.

  4. As a nurse for 30 yrs, i was held to a professional standard. They might have had it coming but i had to maintain control and could not retaliate. Police should be held to the same standards. Even if i was physically hit, i could never hit back ..

  5. Police officers lying about not violently striking a man, renders them unfit to be police officers. This was a serious assault, and in my mind, both police officers should be fired, and then face criminal prosecution for perjury. These two police officers behaved like thugs.
