What kind of a lie law police will make up if they pull you over for…and they see you have a long string with an air freshener attached that is hanging and and not touching the gear shifter, after all it’s not visible in the window. Will they claim that the long thin string is obstructing your view, or will they get stupider claiming the string could cause an accidental “Hanging”. It will happen, just a matter of time.

I got stopped and held on the side of the road once because I got a free air freshner from my oil change shop. They accused me of having weed and tossed my car. I even showed them the receipt for the free air freshner.
By itself? Not a crime. When it obstructs your view? Yup. Sure is.
i had a cop…..oopps EMPLOYEE stop me once for a freshener hanging in my rear view? i laughed at him. i FINALLY convinced him to get in my car and look at my rear view? he did its pointing at the roof he asked why? i said i drive semi's and they DONT have rear view mirrors so i DONT use them in ANY car i have. he let me go AFTER i took the freshener down

I call BS on her making a mistake, she's obviously right handed when it comes to firing her gun, so that means her taser would have been on her left, as they are never holstered together. There is also a big weight difference to both weapons, a taser being mainly plastic to a handgun made of metal. Even in a heat of the moment situation, you know damn well which weapon you have pulled, specially when either left or right handed.
Sorry, but I don't think she made a mistake at all. Most American cops are way too fast on bringing either weapon to a situation that they are supposed to de-escalate, but rarely do.
