So why did they take his gun? There should be an investigation. the sheriff is deliberately and intentionally removing evidence from a scene, while the other guy didn't unintentionally and told them

When a man is down jurisdiction is irrelevant. This is dumb man, they are on the same team. That Sheriff shouldn't be in that position if he doesn't realize the only thing he should be saying in that moment is "Thank you, brother."
This guy looks like he's drunk just like the one that we saw with that guy who is doing the DUI where his boss came onto the scene even though there was no need for him to!
