This is causing issues, tying up 911 dispatchers, etc. Obviously I have no control over this. However, that county has requested that I clarify that this incident involved the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department, which has a phone number of 304-872-7880, if you want to call about this incident. Whatever number people are calling is reaching the OES, which again, is causing unnecessary issues that are actually counterproductive to your concerns. The county has relayed that they are concerned about the incident portrayed in the video.

The start was purely retaliatory. He wrote the ticket and when the guy didn't bow down, he attemped to arrest him. I think he either called or looked up the statute on the registration and found he couldn't arrest him based on the law. Infuriating.

With the Chiefs response video completely overlooking all the officers illegal stop etc, apparently Nicholas Country did not take the massive emailing and calling serious. They have scrubbed every email address from there site, stripped the site down to restrict citizens expressing there dissatisfaction with the officer illegal stop. Even the complaint form link is disabled.
