Video footage was released from a Delaware man’s Ring Doorbell showing two ATF agents and one Delaware State Police trooper questioning a homeowner about recent firearms purchases. Do they need reasonable suspicion or probable cause, you ask?
The footage, accompanied by an article at Ammoland.com, explained that the homeowner, in hindsight, felt that his privacy has been invaded and that he felt coerced into cooperation with the officers. The officers explained that they were part of a task force investigating potential straw purchases, which occur when someone buys a firearm on behalf of another person, who is otherwise unable to purchase directly. They had records in-hand, showing the homeowner’s recent purchases, and they said they wanted to verify that the man still had the firearms.
Here’s the footage, then I’ll explain the law.

Tell the Feds to screw. No warrant, no conversation. Now get off my property. Next contact will be my lawyer serving you papers for violating my civil rights…
I mean if you wanna see how functional the firearms are. Try and trespass.
"Law enforcement" ossifers lie like they breathe. Vampires and cops…don't open the door for them.
I watched this first from who it happened to. He had a you tube channel about trucks & guns. This seems to have happened right after he did a video about oil filter suppressors. He eventually moved out of that state. He did all the right things got a tax stamp for the oil filter and everything. This country is going to hell in a hand basket.
I'd have shut the door in their face.. ATF doesn't make laws
Minority report.
Wtf???
Aren't there enough criminals around for these guys to follow up with and/or knock on their door? This is weaponization of a federal agency and they are hassling tax paying legal gun owner citizens! WTF.. go harass the freakin criminals and leave the law abiding gun registering citizens alone! They want you to register your weapons so they can knock on your door and proceed to deceive, inveigle and obfuscate..
Best way to handle the ATF and other law enforcement agencies just don't answer the door because if they have a warrant they're going to come in anyway so don't make it easy for them
It funny cop can have four gun on person but home own two stupid want see If you have gun
Wow, such an invasion of privacy.
I'd bake a cake if an ATF visit was expected.
If the visit was unexpected we could share
cold cornbread with butter as an option. To
stifle threat fears.
Love the banjo, the cigar, fire and your view! Living Large!
What about the gun violence with cops?
No but it's this is turned into an abuse of powers what it is it's an intrusion without any reason or evidence to support an intrusion!
I would rather the cops do this knock and talk and attempt to get information rather than call up the swat team and come in guns blazing and shoot your dog. Knock and talks are good, people just need to know and exercise their rights. No doubt terminating the encounter could go bad for the homeowner in the short term.
Ask them if they have the consent of the local sheriff. The one that they actually have to get permission from to conduct federal bullSh*t in his county. Chances are, they don’t. State cops do not count! They talked that guy into coming with them to seem more legit. Sneaky A** murderers!
None of the goverments business. Don't talk, stay inside, and tell them they are trespassing and leave.
Demand to see a properly Issued Search Warrant ! Plain and simple , these Officers are out of line and Not following the Constitution !!!
Send them packing ! Order them off your property until they Comply with the Constitution !
I would have called my ELECTED Sheriff.
