New Bluefield Police Department Footage Shows Arrest of Hiram Tolliver

For some unknown reason, following police vehicle pursuits, the suspects rarely make it to jail without suffering violent injuries. They always tend to resist, or get accidentally injured in some way. I’m about to show you brand new footage showing my client, Hiram Tolliver being taken into custody by the Bluefield, West Virginia Police, after leading them on a brief chase. It’s not all that clear why he was fleeing, or why they were chasing him. Other than an allegations of hearing screeching tires, he wasn’t suspected of committing any prior crime. On May 5, 2022, Bluefield Police Department Officer D.R. Barker was assisting the city manager at an intersection in Bluefield, West Virginia. He claims that he heard a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. He claims that he heard the screeching of tires “where the vehicle was taking turns too fast.” Once the vehicle came into view he pulled in behind it and tried to stop it, but the driver fled.

According to the police reports, the pursuit began at 9:29 p.m. Body cam footage shows that the pursuit ended at around 9:36 p.m. – so roughly 5 or 6 minutes – at which time the driver, Hiram Tolliver, was violently taken into custody on the dead end street in front of his parents home. By around 9:48 p.m., Mr. Tolliver would end up falling off the roof of the local fire department building. That’s right, this story doesn’t end with the arrest itself.

  1. Why does it take that many officers for someone who is not resisting? The "blue gang" strikes again doing what they do best, lying about the incident to make themselves look like heroes. And the language used by them is so unnecessary as to be ludicrous. Beating some one just because they can get away with it all too often.

  2. …….aaaaaand this is why I had the rule when my kids graduated from high school they had to leave the state! I love my kids….so much I don't want them in this corrupt effed up town. My God! This is repulsive.

  3. 101-NEVER MOVE A FALLEN PERSON. YOU MIGHT MAKE THINGS WORSE! Years ago a man fell in the mezzanine of the LIRR. When the police came, they started yanking on his arm to make him get off of the floor. When I stopped them, needless to say, they started treating me like a criminal! When he got to the hospital, he had to have a steel plate put in the shoulder of the arm the cop yanked on. The depositions were ‘Oh my’

  4. What a Horrifying experience and you might believe you are actually in a NIGHTMARE. When will the DOJ and CONGRESS address this issue like they did for Simple Window Tint ? This Needs to stop now get rid of Qualified Immunity, this is why, not to mention only one cop gets charged when it does happen to go to court, When all Cops at the assault of American's, until all cops get held accountable and it affects their paychecks this will NEVER STOP !!

  5. Sickening to see police turn off Audio at an incriminating point, This seems to be the norm across the world for cops to turn off audio, delete video or for evidence to disappear.

  6. This is exactly why we call them, domestic terrorist. Cops don't act like this, only criminals. And when the majority of the public fears them, I think they have successfully made the uniform a terrorist symbol.

  7. I think that cop that turned off the audio on his body cam told the arrestee that he was a dead man and then proceeded to bring that about by taking him to the roof of the fire station and threw him off it. I would hire a lip reader and find out what that cop was saying. The government should make it a law that during working hours a body cam cannot be shut off and the audio cannot be shut off. If it is it should be mandatory dismissal of the officer and 60 days in jail. They only shut off a body cam when they are doing something criminal.

  8. For Christ sake! Interrogation, asking questions,, surely the EMT's priority is to get him to Hospital!!! Information can be gained then. Also you have the Police standing around taking note of information they have no right to at this moment!
