As much as these videos anger me, I try to watch objectively & determine how police here in Australia would handle.
1 – A cop sitting in a car isn't a barricade. They may use the car to obstruct access, but a cop would be standing nearby to question/direct drivers.
2 – Unless you had blasted pass without stopping, cop would not desert his post to chase you down.
FYI Aussie cops aren't perfect, we have plenty of arseholes too.

If cops need a legitimate traffic violation to initiate a traffic stop, are they obligated to explain the reason for the stop if asked before the driver is obligated to produce I.D.
