I'm kind of old, 70 years. When I was young, I do not believe policemen thought they could shoot someone for disobeying or resisting. And if they shot someone running away in the back, that was bad. When did they get the idea that shooting people was okay? Because it certainly seems like they do it a lot! And tase people, people who are not even believed to have committed a crime, other than not cooperating with these unreasonable, power-crazy cops? How did this happen? They recently shot and killed a woman in her car? It's as if they think that if there is a possibility someone might get away, they should kill them? Without any charge or finding of guilt? Where do they get this idea? That guilt is not necessary to justify shooting someone, possibly killing them? And even if they were guilty, they would never get a death sentence! So why can police do that?

A six figure settlement in civil litigation is a completely inappropriate punishment for attempted murder. Your justice system is completely broken. This person should have been put in prison, general population, to get a** r***d, every day, for the rest of his pathetic life. Remember, your broken justice system is scary, bloody well fix it.
What if there were children in the house?, I guess "officer safety" over rides the lives of children. After seeing this the rule of thumb must be "never trust law enforcement".
