If the dog is a narcotics detection animal, it may be under the influence of "medication." I do not know about this particular dog, but I can tell you for a fact that some dogs – particularly those used for detection of certain types of narcotics – are deliberately "jones-ed" by the cops.
"Jones-ed" means to be deprived of the addictive substance.
A person who is addicted to narcotics begins "jones-ing," i.e., "withdrawal" from the effects of their last ingestion or injection of the drug after it has been metabolized in the body – becoming desperate to find a source for another "fix," if no more of the drug is available.

That’s mild compared to what an alpha female/male do to the subordinates in a wolf pack. Plus these dogs are not trained to be mean, it’s 100’s of years of breeding. They were originally bred to herd cattle, and how do you get 1000lb plus animal to move? You have to bite at their ankles. So no they aren’t trained to be aggressive they already come like that out of the womb. So before you become the expert on something, I’d make sure you’re educated on the issue first.

I have seen this clip posted by someone else and my comment was ' I do wonder what kind of life this poor dog has as it would surely not be a family pet at the end of the day. I would guess it stays in kennels most of the time and is never fussed over and loved, which is what all dogs want. It's like pit bulls and cockrels that are trained to fight and as that is all they know, can never be brought into a family setting and are euthanised. What a sad world.
There were so many comments stating this is the right way to correct a dog in training, the handler was given an award and predictably a video was produced to show that this is the correct way to handle a dog ( all total b.lllsh.t) and of course I had my head bitten off for what I stated about the handler (which was the truth).

Hi Mt names Abraham Leon. I'm from Hays, KS that's Ellis County. I promote your shit all the time and I tag the police department, Sheriff's department and district court. Since I've started the harassment has multiplied times 100. They're reaching for anything and creating situations to try to be able to arrest me. They have since disregarded when they do something illegal. And I try to tell them that they are violating my rights. They say things like they don't care or I'm wrong. I need to file a lawsuit and I need your help. My time is running out. They served me last night at 8pm. With papers for a court date for earlier that day at 8am. Trying to put a warrant out for my arrest. I contacted the courts and now I am waiting for a call back. The previous that happened that they wrongfully arrested me I have on video. Before that they got into my car and searched it without my permission and without anyone present. They then later kept coming by my car and harassing me. I tried to file a police report on the officers that got into my car and was informed they would not be taking any police reports from me nor let me file any charges. When I finally did get the report made weeks later I was called and informed by the LT that the officers were justified by the law for what they did and no further action was going to be taken for my report. When I tried to move up the chain of command I was told that it didn't matter what I did because I'd he said it was legal his superior woul go with his word rather than what' is right and legal and they have been trying t o gt me arrested for any little or made up thing I need your help please contact me 7857357553 or 785 714059 please help me sir I stand with you hard I stay within my legal bounds but the are crooked th wole system I need your help please get ahold of me !
My first concern here is that the officer may have mental issues and perhaps needs to be removed from his K-9 partner and re-evaluated. K-9's are considered officers within the scope of law enforcement. Workplace violence upon another officer should not be tolerated. Hopefully discipline is fair whether the human officer is charged with assault upon a fellow officer, or with a lesser charge of animal cruelty. I hope a judge can decide this and set precedent for if a K-9 officer should or shouldn't be considered a legal law enforcement officer. If a civilian punches a K-9 officer, is it just a dog?

Also this is a working dog not a pet. Most officer have their dogs in kennels in the back yard. They don’t know how they’ll be with the children in the house and the wife.
The dog is to young to be in the field. The handler and the dog need a better relationship before they do that work together. Handler should have much better control over the animal,, animals to young, not mature enough to be in the field yet. That’s the messed up part you get handed a weapon you don’t know how to use 100%. I’m neutral here, The handler had to handle the dog like that. That’s why it’s too young to be in the field working.
