  1. Civil servants are now police unionized.
As such they should no longer be allowed to have qualified immunity- let their unions pay for their dirty deeds and wrong doing that way their union can blacklist them and put them on a do not hire list.

  2. They do this on purpose to desensitize the public into regularly accepting these kinds of mistakes, until it just becomes normal procedure to perform warrantless searches. It's a desensitizing program. Jesus is coming soon.

  3. In a further twist, here in Flori-Duh, the GOP are pushing to make sure cops cannot be investigated by outside agencies while making it impossible for citizens to sue them. Just read about this today.

  4. I have wondered if a posted sign saying, “no trespassing” would remove qualified immunity in situations like this? 1- They are being advised they are not wanted. 2- If they proceed sans warrant, then they acted willfully and out of jurisdiction. Would this work?

  5. This Immunity crap has become their best buddy for their incompetent action. This is probably one major reason for cops acting like Gestopo. In my opinion 90% of Immunity should go away. Cities and other government agencies should learn how to clean up their problems. Also, DAs, Judge's shouldn't be so buddy buddy with each other. No rubber stamp warrants. No knock entrance should go away for 90% of coditions.

  6. Shit seams to happen WAYY too often. And the even more crazy shit? It they're in the wrong home but see something you left out, they can arrest you and charge you for what they find even tho they didnt have a warrant to enter and in fact the warrants for another address. The "in plain view Doctrine" extends to "good faith" actions. Meaning if cops "accidentally" raid the "wrong home" but find some out in the open in the wrong home, they can legally charge you with it because the "accidental raid" was made in "good faith" So no faults to the officers, cant sue them but they make mistakes and you end up in jail for possession of something that you had on your bed in the privacy of your own home. You make a mistake you end up in handcuffs, no secons chances you must pay. If your a cop ans you make a mistake, not only do you suffer no consequences but another, innocent person will take the fall. If cops wanna play Army, fine, but its a two-way road.

  7. I'm not a lawyer. I have an idea, though. What if there were a team of lawyers that would battle the government with the sole mission of abolishing qualified immunity. There have to be lawyers out there who can do this. But I think there is no money to be made therefore I also believe no one will step up.

  8. I'm having this problem with my maintenance man. We can barely go anywhere too far, because he's "checking" something – no notice. This fool broke my air conditioning, or did something so it wont work. I live in Nevada. It's blistering in the summer. Landlady refuses to fix it AND raised my rent!! Now since the air con is wonky, turning on the heat – its getting ready to be snowy here – the heat sparks and smells. I STILL don't want him in here!! Where he needs access to fix anything is outside, downstairs. NOT in our rooms. ESPECIALLY NOT MY DAUGHTER'S BEDROOM!!!
