No, they're not good people. No police dept. has a right of free speech or political speech. Political statements are outside the scope of law enforcement.
My theory is that LEO's need the blue line flag gang colors to satisfy their human emotional need to be rebellious and bad. Humans always need to do something to be rebellious and defiant, it's instinctive. In other words, being held to high legal and moral standards in their job is too much for the average cop to handle psychologically, so they cling to the blue line as a self-serving symbol of defiance to law, justice and authority. It's a very juvenile mentality. The blue line originated in England. So US cops have allegiance to the gov. of England? It makes no sense. It's all based on ignorance and irrational feelings. This is why the police are obsessed with feelings enforcement because on a juvenile level it makes them feel good.
Pretty much soon most cops in America will be either defunded or just gone and we won't have to worry about them killing our citizens in the street. And we'll take care of our online enforcement which usually works out better. To be a cop you have to have a mental issue such as an egomaniac or some underlining mental health problems, you see it on every cop's face that disdained look that look of how they were bullied in school and didn't get along with the other kids and now they have a job and they seek this power and then it goes out of control.
