Officer Sucker Punches Surrendering Suspect – Chief Denies

This video took 5 days for YouTube to review for release, despite my attempts to censor it and follow their community guidelines. Since it was created, a 911 call and bodycam footage have been released, showing some blood on Chris’s face, stemming from the fight. This does not excuse the sucker punch.

Since videos of this have gone viral, Humble PD released a new statement:

“The Humble Police Department is conducting an internal investigation of the incident, Officer Cox remains on current duty assignment at this time. The Humble Police Department has no additional statement.”

  2. Officer Cox and the chief both need to be fired.
The officer for excessive and totally unnecessary force and lying on his report.
The chief for blatantly lying about what happened as if the video evidence didn't exist.

Two sets of laws never ends well.
    Abolish qualified immunity

  3. Change has to come from the federal government. Police reform legislation should have happened 30 years ago. Cities would rather continue to pay out millions and still employ the criminal cops. Spineless people are afraid to do anything about cops and guns.

  4. Ok, so the Chief lies. Probably not the first time. That sets the tone and shapes the culture in the department. The police striking with a metal object the head of a man with his hands raised is probably not the first time either and it is cowardly and unethical. So with this much official crime taking place the young man looks more like a victim. The important lesson here is to never call the police.
