A veteran who began live streaming from the public sidewalk when he noticed a Williston Police Department cruiser, parked on private property, in a spot marked no parking, idling. It is likely that the officer was using the time between calls to catch up on paperwork, or was using the private parking lot for it’s shade.
A few moments later, J leaves and the officer follows him out to the road.
This is Sergeant Landis. Sergeant Landis was a Supervisor. The word was, is intentional. We will return to that.
The newly Mr. slash defendant Landis attempted to arrest J for trespassing. Unfortunately for defendant Landis, J was never asked to leave the property by any authorized agent. That means there was now legal right to detain or arrest J for trespassing.
According to Florida statute 784.03, defendant landis just battered an innocent citizen.
The officer also allegedly tried to punch J several times and kicked him during the physical altercation.
Defendant Landis should care. Because not only is this video viral, It also inspired J to file a federal Lawsuit against him.
Once the Levy County Sheriff’s office was notified of the incident, they started an independent investigation of the criminal misconduct and defendant Landis was relieved of his duties. Terminated as of October 12th 2020, including false documentation and testimony of the incident.
The state attorney also entered a gigolo, stating that due to defendant Landis’s actions, he is no longer considered credible, and that the state would never again pursue any cases in which he was a witness.
Comment down below your guess of how many lives this ex-officer has probably ruined prior to being caught on camera, and lying about it. The state doesn’t trust him now…. Perhaps they should look into every one of his previous arrests.

A person need to refuse to leave, when asked , for it to be trespassing.
That is or was our local hospital. Which has been closed for quite a few years. So he was probably there patrolling. Maybe protecting the property from vandalism. No one is allowed on the property anymore. Now the officer could have handled the situation a little better agreed. But the officers normally don't harass people for no reason.
That was a “Old School” cop trained on doing whatever they wanted before the days of cameras in every pocket!!!!!!!

If the people in power had loved ones affected by his past deeds, they would look into his past conduct. He stopped quick when he found out it was being livestreamed.
