In 2019 the president of Mexico Lopez obrador disbanded the massively corrupt federal police and replaced it with the national guard. They were huge protests from the federal police but yet it still happened. Us Americans live in a bubble and don't pay attention to what's going around in the world. We want massive change in American police and it seems so impossible to do yet just South of the border in Mexico they did it. It can be done. Was it a great move for the Mexicans? I'm not sure we shall see in the future but at least we know that major change can be done. It's possible.
