The haters and cop supporters seem quiet on this one. I guess even they can see that this was just a terrible and avoidable choice. Though I disagree with Chillie's thoughts on men and women aren't equals. I'm sure he's talking physically. Though he should have elaborated on that more as saying it like that didn't feel right. Most average woman taking on an average man, they would be at a disadvantage, yes. But definitely not all woman. There are cis woman body builders that even put the Hulk to shame. So maybe the evaluation and training should be more intense and long term before being able to be sent out alone like she was. Their training should also be maintained over time, so they don't fall behind to be at such a disadvantage again.
Though even if she was able to handle this guy, it should have been handled better. There was no need to kill him. She did have many other options she ignored. Run away to call for back up, use a non lethal weapon, avoid immediately hitting vitals, even talking it out better as he just seemed upset someone was trying to get him to move when he's clearly homeless, etc.
I'm very sad it ended like this. And that's exactly why we need to make this all change instead of just watching it happen and saying how it SHOULD have went. I truly hope that change comes soon. Too many lives are being taken by these terrorist gang members known as Police..

This is one of the problems when you have an officer who is not physically equipped for the job or to defend themself so their only recourse is to use a firearm, especially in this case since a taser isn't viable with typical clothing for colder seasons.
