  1. Identify Prohibited Persons

    The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition, to include any person:

    convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;

    who is a fugitive from justice;

    who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act, codified at 21 U.S.C. § 802);

    who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution;

    who is an illegal alien;

    who has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;

    who has renounced his or her United States citizenship;

    who is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner; or

    who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

    Some more thoughts!!

  2. However, since federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(3)) makes it a felony for an “unlawful user of … any controlled substance” to “possess … any firearm,” and since marijuana is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance, it is a felony for a user of marijuana to possess a firearm.

    Just saying!!!

  4. My family has served this country in the Military and they fought for our constitution to keep our rights so my family’s blood that’s been spilled for this country for my right so my rights trump the dead and my condolences to the families of the Nashville dead but I’ll be in a body bag before they get my guns. I mean the gov. Is over stepping their bounds. In all aspects

  5. In Australia, to legally possess a handgun, the owner must be licensed, and the gun must be registered; the owner must be a member of a recognized gun club, and the gun may be transported only between home, range, and the gunsmith's shop. Police estimate compliance with the handgun registration laws at approximately 85 percent. These same restrictions do not uniformly apply to rifles and shotguns, and long guns are plentiful. The number of firearms in private hands in Australia has increased from 2.7 to 3.5 million in 10 years; this constitutes one firearm for every four Australians in 1990. In spite of the proliferation of firearms, the Australian homicide rate has remained nearly constant since the turn of the century. Firearms homicides have also been dropping as a percentage of the homicides since 1955. They currently account for 40 percent of all murders committed in Australia. Of all the categories of serious crime, only commercial robbery might be seriously affected by tougher gun laws, since the overwhelming majority of other serious crimes are committed without firearms. Handgun ownership aside, generalization about firearms ownership and gun laws cannot be made, since the States have considerably more autonomy than States in America, and, like in the United States, gun laws vary considerably from location to location. Tasmania and Queensland have the most liberal conditions of firearms ownership regarding long guns. There is no indication from the data that gun licensing, gun registration, and gun prohibition have had any success in reducing crime in either Australia or the United States.

    We have guns. You are ill informed.

  6. @18:40
    If someone takes away your gun.
    Who would you let do this?
    The very ones with guns,
    Doesn’t sound just right.
    The first amendment is there for a reason the second amendment is there in case the first one doesn’t work out ……..
    Change my mind!!!!
    Lol.

  7. This Alabama and Tennessee and all Southern States they can banned assault weapons all they want in large caliber magazines there is so many already been produced and sold that they are just being ignorant thinking they can ban something that is everywhere I personally know you can get an assault weapon if you are a criminal a lot easier than if you are doing it the right way and going through all the paperwork so their argument is just stupid and against the Constitution

  8. You can't sue an entity that has the choice of accepting or not accepting a lawsuit. They are able to choose to deny the suit.

    This is already a revolution, just the only weaponized side is the wrong one. The police are not backing down. The justice system is backing the police. The legislative branch is still hard at work writing more reasons to put people away …

    The regular man is at war. If we keep denying it the mess will get uglier at the end.

  9. No lies we are not allowed to have a bazooka, rocket launchers unless you have a a federal permit which is a pain in the ass to get that also includes machine guns and also depends which state you are in. The only pig there is you
