it should be illegal to not have the mic or camera on when dealing with a suspected person . and if court hears his cam or audio doing the remarks should get him on the brady list and in reality get his police certificate revoked. the federal gov reportablly now has a system to track federal law inforcement personal who get dicipline action and or fired so there not hired in another agency

a citation isn't different then being arrested, your just free to go instead of going to jail. Thus if a deputy purpusfully gives a false citation they illegally arrested you.

Most police departments in Texas are linked into a state database called "TexasSure" thru the Texas Department of Insurance. thats how most LEO's can tell in real time if you have valid insurance or not. Not all departments have it but even ones who do, will still ask to see your physical or digital mobile app card otherwise they'll check off the ticket box that says "failure to show proof of insurance". I wish the legislature would get rid of that loophole that has been exploited before.

ABSOLUTELY there should be consequences such as UNPAID SUSPENSION for 2 weeks plus the courts should start assigning punitive damages to officers for writing tickets that are thrown out like these 2 tickets, for arresting people for retaliatory reasons (example: such as obstruction when it's someone that's on the side recording cops and the cops arrest the independent journalist for obstruction knowing it's most likely to get thrown out but doing it as a punishment that takes a day or 2 of someone's life away, bond cost, booking fees, tow costs etc…) the courts should make these, bad officers that do this on purpose, costs be paid back out of the officer's salary! Then maybe these shitty cops that have no business being cops will stop their bullshit or quit and do something else instead! Something's got to give and it's been we the people for too long!
