My cousin got locked up for self defense but the guy was shot once in the chest and twice in the back so he did time for murder because judge says he it was breaking in and entering but shot twice in the back, means he was trying to get away but you killed him! It a bunch of BS!

Cops can actually shoot a fleeing suspect if they have cause that the suspect is an immediate threat to the community. Basically if a man has killed multiple people, got away or has shot cops and got away or is on a multi carjacking spree during a chase, then cops can legally shoot a suspect in their back but if its simply someone running away with no threat the general public then it becomes unjustified. What im guessing is someone called in "a man with a gun", then the cop says he was reaching for something as he was running away after being told the suspect had a gun, then it becomes justified. Which is absolutely horeshit. I remember when cops had to see the weapon before they could shoot in the 80's? Cops have lost their minds.
