Not sure if I ever gave an update on this. First of all, I do not consider myself an auditor. I’m a local investigative journalist, I understand what others do, and I appreciate it, but I haven’t extensively studied every single aspect of auditing, nor was I in the position to do that on this day.
Getting arrested was not an option for me due to personal circumstances .
The police officer did not submit the ticket to the Medicine Hat police service, and when I showed up for court, she was not there, my lawyer told me that there was nothing in the system, and that I could just leave …
The ticket was for $260 for failure to obey an officer’s orders
