You shouldn't have to assert your rights. They should respect our rights to begin with instead of trying to be nosy or make up something to charge someone with. I'm scared of them, and not for no reason either. They do bad things to people every day without exception.
The police should be like the fire department and only show up when they are needed. I think there should be a special unit that is armed that is only deployed In a crisis situations. It's not like they ever stop or prevent crimes. They also need to stop the so-called war on drugs because that is the cause, or excuse I should say, for the constant harassment and overreach they are always inflicting on the people. Maybe it's just in my town, but let me tell you, around here after at least 30 years into the war on drugs you can get any kind of drugs you want at bargain prices. When I was coming up it was just weed, cocaine and if you knew a guy maybe some pills that tend to be popular. Now we're got it all in abundance. They failed. They lost. No one is knocking on my door or flagging me down trying to sell me drugs either so I don't care what they are doing really. I'm not mad about it. I just want to be left the hell alone. That's all. Am I the only one who feels this way?

If people were more self sufficient and self governing we would not need such huge police departments. They do have their place but freedom is important. I.don't like seeing police everytime I leave my home. That doesn't make me feel very free and I live in a quiet town.
It's really sad that there is no longer equal justice under the law. A truly regretful person would at least apologize about a tragic accident. He didn't even do that.
Did you say the cops said " he was a nice guy." That comes from neighbors and friends, not the police. Stop feeding people bullshit. Got pewpew whipped in the head smoking a cigarette in front of my apartment building after a psycho neighbor called her even more psycho son to come threaten and attack me. All her friends that gathered to watch, laugh, and block my escape routes confused the cop so bad with statemrns that didnt add up that i got charged too and had to battle eviction, im heavily disabled. and my pos lawyer didnt even request all the statements i was denied or the dash and body cam footage that woulda shown him gonna flee and possibly where he hid the pewpew. Didnt even have bruised up knuckles and by the time he brought my ticket to the ER i had obvious pewpew sight bruising on the lump over my eyebrow.
