My Dad owned some land and there was a river running through it for about half a mile in distance. Local kids would come and fish from its banks and in the summer swim in the pools. Landowners on both sides of my Dads property had trespass warnings posted. They tried to get my Dad to do the same but he declined. We often saw almost 100 kids on the riverbank in the summer so much so there was a permanent track through our property to the river. During the fishing season there could be 20 or so kids everyday fishing on a catch and release basis. My Dad died in 1989 and there were hundreds at his funeral not because he worked with them but for the only reason they shared his riverbank. When young people are doing something that is of no harm to anyone else there should be a law to protect their harmless activity.
