In Clearfield, Utah, Officer Fratto of the Clearfield Police Department violently arrested (and injured) a local long-time Special Olympics medalist. Shawn was just trying to walk home from his favorite karaoke bar, but Officer Fratto thought Shawn looked suspicious, so he began to follow him (and scare him) as he was walking home. Shawn had committed no crime. No crime had been observed or reported. Fratto eventually jumped out of his police cruiser and detained Shawn, claiming he saw him illegally jaywalk. He demanded Shawn provide his “ID.” However, Shawn answered all questions asked by Fratto, who never asked Shawn his name or date of birth. Shawn knew that he was being harassed and did not want to provide his ID to Fratto, who continue to bully him and escalate the situation. Fratto chose violence and took Shawn to the ground, injuring him. Fratto’s supervisor showed up and helped coverup the misconduct. Luckily, Shawn had a friend from the bar who helped him get the bodycam footage and communicate to the prosecutor and judge in court, resulting in the bogus charge being dismissed. But unfortunately, the incident has had a lasting negative effect on Shawn.

  2. To this idiot cop has nothing else better to do but bully someone who is literally walking home all because he walked through a parking lot? I really think this idiot cop need more to do , he has wayyyy to much time on his hands if he's got a bully someone who's just walking home

  3. Looks like a Class Action lawsuit. They didn't just violate his disabled rights but every person on disability. Its this right here that makes my deaf wife afraid of police because they way they have treated her in the past. She is stronger now that she knows she has rights. discrimination is discrimination. He stated that he knew he was disabled! And he powerplayed the man. Any smart lawyer should drool over this suit. Does this man have a donation link for legal fees? This is a fight that I and my wife are than willing to participate in. I will say that if that would've been my wife. Those officers would no longer have a job and would be in jail. The cops was witnessed to an assault battery and then victim blamed a disabled man. Wonder how that's going to look in the public's eye?

  4. I thought Jay Walking was no longer a chargeable offense ,he may have a disability but he sure knows to avoid the police at all times. You gotta love the copsplain from that tyrant get your boots on the do do is getting deep I'm also looking at the supervisors eyes,he is expressing "what the #uck!" We all know Amerika is not a free country you should not be out walking late at night LOL Innocent citizen should sue for at least $50,000 illegal arrest, assault, kidnapping by a armed thug. Destruction of evidence , turning of body cam and blocking video, conspireing to cover up a crime on leos part!

  5. Youve been outed Zach, what a disgusting display. Served and protected the heck out of this poor dude. I'm sure he thought it would just be a drunk to roll for fun and that footage would never see the light of day. Thankfully his assault on a disabled person was all recorded and now forever in the public domain.
