Apparently AZ cops cant drive. Was behind one the other day, watched it commit 4 infractions. Lane changing with no blinker, then speeding, doing id guess 50 in a 35, then ran a red light (making a right turn, as he approached it was yellow but turned red before he got there, he wanted to make his right before cross traffic got the green light so he just blew through the intersection) and then right after another lane change with no signal. All within about a minute. If he had been the one behind me, id have been pulled over and probably suspected of being intoxicated. Instead, i could do nothing and he probably went on to pull people over for less than what he had just done.
Not all cops are bad. Considering the current tension with police I cant say I blame them for inquiring why you're following them. They were very professional with you and aside for the stop, they didnt pull anything else thats significant. They also have families that they want to go home to at the end of the day. They asked and let tou go on your way. Sorry, I'm on the cops side on this one. 🤷

The reason for him stopping you was to ask you why you were following him, it's a suspicious activity following a police car, in the dark

So what would you have done if he didn't pull you over? Also how would you feel if someone was following you? Honestly this cop was really chill and just wanted to know why the hell he was being followed. Pretty understandable. No you didn't do anything wrong at all. Would definitly say it's suspicious. Wouldn't you? Cops also follow for various reasons which are valid and make sense. But back to my question, seems your intent was to be pulled over knowing it's something out of ordinary? Also you were following him. You already had his plate yet had to get out and go walk back and get it again. Again not in the wrong but trying to get these cops worked up. Which they shouldn't being in the position they are should be ready for anything and always be able to stay calm. Doesn't mean you have to try it out and see how far it goes though. If I am wrong for this somebody give me a different pov on it so I can understand it more.
I have a question. Is it legal for an officer to follow you because i have had one follow me out of their city into mine and when i was almost home they got back on the freeway go back to their city/ jurisdiction.
@lackluster i typically agree with 99% of the things you say in these videos. You appear to be very well educated on case law and have a good working knowledge of how to read and interpret penal codes.. that being said, I disagree with your stance on this one.. I would say the deputy had articulatable reasonable suspicion to detain the man in this incident given his unusual and suspicious behavior in following the deputy.. especially for such a long time. It is no secret that law enforcement are ambushed, and there have been several instances of an ambush being initiated by the same behavior exhibited by this man. The deputy would be well within his authority to make a detention in order to investigate the suspicious behavior.. you know how low the bar is for reasonable suspicion so surely, objectively speaking, you know this is a lawful stop.. here lately it appears you've been becoming more emotional with your videos..

This video reminds me of an a-hole cop that fined me for rolling through a stop. Yes I did roll through the stop and didn't dispute the fine. What pissed me off is after handing me the fine he immediately does an illegal u turn in front of a school then rolls through the same stop that I did. Back then we didn't have smart phones. All I had was an old flip phone and couldn't tape it in time.
