Do you buy the deputy's claim that he immediately smelled alcohol?

So not cooperating with a cop, no matter how strange their demands, is now considered resisting and a crime?

You're a lawyer? Why? What a waste of life, I'd seriously rather start smoking cravk. The laws a joke anyways. Over 100,000 man made laws written on the books, meanwhile, God has just 10 commandments that your higher-ups and politicians can't even follow. Man or God? Who you gonna trust?

The kid was a douche.
A serial abusive person
tyrants are not safe in America this sheriff should not get comfy anywhere
Words have consequences , why don't you show us all how it is done , since you obviously know everything… Plenty of had cops… and plenty of bad people…why don't you try to do something positive , instead of just being a parasite and profiting off yhese videos . Its all ridiculous… never any teal context , most of these people escalate the situations and play for the camera.. i hope you never need a police officer to help you or yours , but if you do , hopefully it will inspire you to not be such an entitled judgemental pr–k… These idiots must never hane had parents that taught them manners
It's an open-and-shut case of Contempt of Cop.
WOW
Movie adaptation: Five Seconds to Showtime
I have some questions that I wish you would address in separate video. First question is with so many youtube channels dedicated to calling out police injustice and cameras everywhere why do bad cops continue to commit these acts? Do you believe that qualified immunity should done away with, amended or left as is? Lastly, if a police department is sued should the money come from the officers pension or from the state and federal funds granted to the offending department vs the taxpayers footing the bill?
Power Tripping Cop. But I don't quite understand the lay out of the driveway and a public boat ramp. If he was parked in the middle of a public road, blocking a boat ramp, that's illegal. The cop would have reason to check his ID. The cop should have handled this differently. He got mad because the guy wasn't intimidated by him and wasn't giving him the respect he felt he deserved.
I get that in the pristine court of justice saying fuck on a video may be alarming. I cannot however think of anyone brought up in the US that could honestly claim the word was uncommon or infrequent. ITS EVERYWHERE AND USED BY EVERYONE!! so get of your high horse. But, yes, the 'sensitivities of the court' must me protected. They are the only place not living in the real world. That is one of a police state.
This cop is a C.
Oof. This pisses me off. All sorts of fucked up.
I had one time i was running out my house to the back yard as a teen with 2 of my other friends and a cop immediately stopped us and id'd and started calling me a gang member because i had my black and yellow hat and school t shirt same colors and I am the only hispanic there and started questioning me and my affiliation with the gang that i wasn't even in. And had to tell them it was out house. And was saying i was breaking in. And that was the day i lost respect for officers
REMEMBER!
Police Officers are NOT HUMANS!
They are demons from another dimension that teleport to the closets of police stations.
Can you ever imagine a police officer having a wife, kids or a family with their inhumane rage and deadly ego without inflicting harm?
IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!!!
Report does NOT match the video
This is an assault and battery under the color of law
It's a fact that a constitutional officer MUST at all times protect the people's due process of LAW
😂 that kid said it all
As always, FTP
Illegally searches vehicle……
Cop = Thug
Defend a better person. This youngster didn't get taught manners growing up some people have to learn the hard way.
Parked, running truck on wrong side of road. Reasonable to investigate.
Kid trying to jump in truck and run. Happens all the time.
Kid needs to respect lawful directions.
Don’t fight the police.
Good stop.
Can I actually make a Youtube comment that stays here?
This video really brings out some real justifiable anger and frustration. The real questions that come from this is not about fixing it: that’s not possible in the system of things we live in. The people doing this believe they are free and right and don’t see what they are doing. And only modern video has shown what has been going on forever with so called “law”.
What do we actually do to stay safe at this point in our routines?
Resisting arrest? What was he being arrested for then?
No officers like to shot to kill.
"I told you not to get in the truck and you pulled away from me."
What right did you have to control his movement? None. Nada. Zilch.
I think the cop had a legit reason to get out and investigate, but once the kid appeared the cop should have announced who he was and why he was there. Then he should have started asking questions and just as the kid said himself, he could have explained what was going on and they could have gone their ways. I also think the cop is full of it with smelling alcohol. I think he threw that in there as soon as he realized he was about to be in trouble. The timing was all wrong for him to be smelling alcohol, it was right after he saw the kid was hurt
Does a crime not have to be proven first before assaulting /detaining someone ?
Odor of intoxicants, yeah, right. Try again Sparky. I question why the deputy even opened the trucks door maybe there is a legal right in that case but was there a law enforcement necessity at that point. ? One way to piss off the trucks owner is to be caught opening the door and looking around inside. Seems had the deputy began with stating I'm Deputy Barney Fife and I saw your truck here and was investigating etc….. instead he led off with aggressive verbal commands. Just overall seemed very poor law enforcement.
But more importantly what are the two Muskets behind you and what is the cigar?
The cop is out of his mind.
Its how police act in a police state
"Wrong lane of traffic"
what a POS, its 1am and down a very rural road
How can he be charged with resisting when the cop never said he was under arrest.
Does anyone ever wonder why you don't see a local cop shopping at a store out of uniform and off duty ? 😂
