An autistic father was playing Pokemon Go with his 10 year old son. A police officer interrupts their game, detains the father, questions him, mocks him, searches him, and interrogates him, accuses him of being on drugs or drunk – even though he was very clearly autistic. He not only violates his rights, but humiliates him in front of his son. And humiliates his son as well. And then just walks off into the sunset, like he just performed some great service…

  1. So to summarize, the officer decides he doesn't look or act "normal," so he must be drunk, high, or unable to care for his son. This is what we get when a cop decides every person who isn't a neurotypical robot must be a criminal. Autistic people like this guy are far more at risk of being harmed by someone like this officer than they ever are of doing harm. Seriously. Educate the police!

  2. Officer probably spends his off duty time making fun of cancer patients and disabled people at the hospitals. Glad he’s not here in WV. Last thing I need is an officer makin my disability even more difficult for me smh

  3. Gotta love this mans love for Pokemon, probably the most skilled and leveled up player on Pokemon go. I tried getting into the game but EVERY single name I tried was "taken" 😭 but I also loved Pokemon since I was a little kid

  4. Well, I made it past ten minutes into the video. I appreciate the work you do, but this stuff is just too heavy and I doubt my opinion about most cops will get any worse by this point. Thanks @The Civil Rights Lawyer

  5. Harassing a man with his child because he "presents" differently is suspicious! Not a neurodivergent father enjoying a healthy bonding activity with his child. This breaks my heart. I pray the father in the video knows what a brave and wonderful man he is! ❀ May God bless him and his family. πŸ™πŸ»

  6. Oh God. The scumpunk cop should write a book. "How to scare away good dads from being good dads, then wonder why my job gets harder and more messed up." I hate bullies so much. If I said what I think they all deserved I would get band.

  7. Cops aren't law enforcement they will embarrass even the week or sick American citizens they ( police)are given the protection by criminal higher government to attack autistic, babies, women little girls and never held accountable because they are protected to attack at will without being held accountable and then let to judge themselves which never are held at fault for any flagrant crime

  8. What's this clown playing at, public intoxication? With no calls of problems prior? This loser is going to waste taxpayer dollars day in and day out. At the point he asks, "do you think you're ok to be taking care of your son?" Clearly the dad with autism isn't the one battling intellectual deficits. What a stupid [and highly offensive] question to ask.

  9. Policing in the United States is nothing but harassment, extortion and murder cops working on the behalf of a criminal organization called our government to extort and kill us. It’s disgusting what they’re doing to this man and many other citizens around the United States on a daily basis.

  10. This officer will be made fun of by he coworkers for this for the rest of his life. Detaining someone and investigating their penis and asking a minor without permission about a grown mans penis, is diabolical.

  11. STOP HIRING PEOPLE BEFORE THEIR BRAINS HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO FULLY DEVELOP!!! It should be illegal to hire anyone under the age of 25 as a police officer. I don't care how desperate a department is to have a full squad and I don't care if they're married and have three kids….if they're not 25 or older, then they are not qualified.

  12. Holy fuck I would have lost my shit because I am Autistic and shit happens at the worst times but him beating on this guy for fucking wet pants πŸ‘– πŸ™„ this is by far humiliating and not necessary at all! I don't think πŸ€” I could have been as cool with him as he did! πŸ˜‰ 😑 I'm so pissed at this video it's not even funny! πŸ™„ God damn! Can't even walk down the street! πŸ™„ ridiculous! So uncalled for busting him down like that! πŸ™„ 😑😑😑😑😑

  13. I guess with the increase of bodycams, we’re seeing this kind of stuff happen to people who have mental/physical impairments that they have no control over. One of the first questions that police should be required to ask anyone their questioning, is if they have any health conditions, so the officers can proceed accordingly. But, even with that, if someone has something like autism or early stage dementia/Alzheimers, they may not be able to convey that effectively. So, maybe if the states could add some type of code on licenses that the holder has a special need it would help the officers see quickly that they need to take that into consideration. You had a recent video showing a confused older man with dementia who the police thought was drunk. Thank God the man’s wife was there to let the officer know. Keep doing the Lords work John!
