  1. The law says "a person commits an offence if the person with criminal negligence interrupts, disrupts, impedes or or otherwise interferes with a peace officer while he is performing his duties"….it does not say "physically" anywhere there.
So tell me this, if a person is standing thr yelling at the cop or at person being arrested and the cop can not hear anything the arrestee is saying thats an interference right.
However that was not the case here, but i just thought id add that interference is not just a physical act like many think.

  2. At some point after we (of a certain age) spent some of our evening time watching Adam-12, in which the camera often focused on the motto on the fender of the black-n-white police car, "To Protect And Serve," the police have added another word that is visible only if you look closely enough, "ourselves."

  3. Either qualified immunity gets eliminated and they must carry their own insurance which pays for settlements, or the public will start defending themselves appropriately against unlawful arrests and treating officers like any other member of the public. And we all know exactly what should happen to citizens who attempt to kidnap people while armed.

  4. Its a shame really how he was so unaware of the tyranny he was imposing. I give a lot of cops grace for decisions made in the height of something, almost impulsively. Its a difficult job and burnout and stress are very reasonable explanations for certain instances where police act inappropriate. Its not good. Its not justified. But it can be explained and understood. This though is wild and obviously he needed to be fired. Its such a crazy over the top reaction to a benign thing from an obviously law abiding guy clearly exercising

  5. I think there is something going on here because why was he fired so quick? you see this all the time and officers don't get fired like this, that quick, there's something else going on.
