Cop Hears a Shot, Sees a Kid Running Away, Shoots Him in the Back

A 16-year-old boy was running for his life after being shot at in downtown San Diego. He was not a threat and not a suspect, yet he was shot in the back by a police officer who only saw him for ONE second before deciding to pull the trigger. Sadly, that young man lost his life that night, which I detailed in a video back in March. Now it has been announced that the City is set to agree to THE LARGEST police settlement in US history – 30 million dollars.

  1. It's illegal to shoot a fleeing felon if the cop is not put in jail for that then his department is saying it's legal to shoot someone fleeing as long as they are not a felony
That cop needs felony jail time and the city needs to replace every cop that refused to arrest detain and charge and convict that cowardly cop

  2. Did the kid live? C’mon! What is his status?
When I was a Deputy, we were not allowed to shoot someone unless it was a forcible felony ie; armed robbery, murder and such and we knew the person was iD suspect. Escaped prison inmates could be shot regardless, as they were convicted felons.
That was totally a bad shoot. He needs to be fired and charged, then sent to prison. He shouldn’t be on administrative leave. As soon as they saw his body cam, they should have done what said above immediately, full stop, do not pass go or collect $200.

  3. Bang bang bang, freeze police!!! He should go to prison just like you and I would. I haven't heard anything about the gang guys that shot at the kid, I'm guessing the cops are too busy covering for each other to find them…

  4. Floyd's murder gets convicted for putting a knee on a person, but putting one in the back of a fleeing kid gets paid off. They should be doing both, paying the family and charging the cop.
