  1. Two weeks after this incident, Langan was questioned by the Illinois State Police with Cook County prosecutors. A report obtained from this meeting says Langan claimed the shooting was an accident. He said he thought he grabbed his Taser and didn't realize he grabbed his gun.

It also quotes Langan as saying: "I'm completely sorry. I feel like I let everyone down. I have nothing else to say."

One-and-a-half years after the teen was shot, no discipline has been given. Sauk Village Police Chief Malcolm White says the disciplinary process has not begun. He said they were waiting to get the Illinois State Police and Cook County State's Attorney's office findings. The State's Attorney's office determined in early September that no criminal charges would be filed against the sergeant for the shooting.

No further comment was provided by the police chief.

while i generally dont like people that hate us cops or "pigs", i understand your anger towards us. i just hope some of you realize not all of us are evil, may gods justice shine true and avenge the teen.

  2. Why can't police be " peace " officers and help society? In America today, most police are abusive towards innocent civilians. And people are struggling yet instead of going after real criminals they hide behind trees and behind walls to take money away from people that are 8 miles over the speed limit. They need to be restructured nationwide.

  3. There are too many ex-military who are joining the police force with an attitude that is not appropriate for a civilian police force in a free country. They need to follow the Constitution or be fired. We live in a free country, and they need to obey the law

  4. Police can only do these things because they have no fear of any retribution, consequences, repercussions or even if found guilty the tax payers pay or they resign and get a job in a new state. How many real jobs afford you such leniency? In any real job you must understand company procedures / policies, rules and regulations but in the police farce, you are allowed to just wing it. You see, If I had kids and was a US police officer, how could I live with myself knowing I am making the not only the Kids but the parents and family of these kids suffer because I cannot keep my ego in check!
