He told him to keep one in the chamber? A FL tropper told me not too. I had this same thing happen to me in my way home from across the state. My dad said don't doeed through here and got pulled over. My pistol was in my center console. The officer asked if i had any weapons, i said yes, he demanded the weapon. He returned with the speeding citation and my weapon and ammo in pieces. I should have fought it since I had my CCL. I was pissed off about how he returned it to me.

Bro should have asked in so many different ways a simple yes or no question for the person to have actually given consent! Im in VA, but a family member in PA told me to stay away from DC/DMV because they can do exactly this.
He violated two rights, right against search and right against information being taken without permission, the man's innocent until proven guilty and he doesn't have the right to even pull him over for the tinting. He has to use a device that has tinting measurements on the window when he gets to the car and even that is a questionable act considering this guy is from another state. There are no federal window tinting laws.

But there is also common decency and common sense. You have a firearm and tinted windows. You know cops are on edge these days. Just roll the dang website down! Give the cop a little peace of mind! People often say, "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." I think this also applies: just because you don't have to, doesn't mean you shouldn't. That guy may be within his legal rights, but he's also being stupid. If he genuinely has nothing to hide, why risk his own life? I actually applaud this cop. He may have removed the firearm but he realized his mistake and returned it. He never pulled his own out like many cops would have. He didn't try to fight the guy or remove him from his vehicle. Sometimes people suck, often they are very stupid…..
