Nothing complicated here. The cop pulled out in front of another vehicle and an accident occured. The dash cam proves whose fault it is. It couldn't be more evident. But. A friend got t-boned by a cop as the cop ran a red light but the cops said it was my friends fault. They stuck with that lie right up until a lady came forward with a dash cam video showing what actually happened. The cops will happily crash into your vehicle and walk away, leaving you to pay the penalty. I know that the cops are not lowlife scum suckers but sometimes they sure do a good impression of one.

Insurance in the US is weird, you should not have to worry about deductibles when you're not at fault, that's for the insurance to sort out with the other party involved. My insurance policy has zero deductibles whether I'm at fault or not, you claim the pay.
