The gentleman was standing there just chilling with the one police officer and willing to stay right there with him until the sergeant arrives. Sad how the "leadership" displayed, escalation, the need to go hands on, handcuffs, for what? Ridiculous. I'm a retired Chief LEO and I don't remember any of that being necessary protocol. We used handcuffs only if absolutely necessary due to the nature of injuries that they can cause. Do a little research on that. Let me tell you something, why do police tell suspects to put their hands palms together, because it hurts like hell when you are cuffed and have to sit down or move around. Now, we handcuffed with the back of the hands touching to at least stop the pain. There are so many nerves and small tendons in the wrist that are easily injured. Try it for yourself. I know what I'm talking about. That's why we abandoned pain compliance. It doesn't work and people were being horribly injured and killed for no reason at all.

I watched this yesterday and DJ Cory said he went to the Walgreens and asked about the shop lifting suspect, they told him there wasn't one. They never call one in.
