Where to start , there are so many false affirmations,,,, first off there does NOT have to be a code or regulation or law on every sign , there are no codes written on a ""stop"" sign , does that mean anyone can ignore the sign , not stop, and just drive through regardless , there are o codes written on a ""no right turn"" sign either ,,, do I really have to go through every sign that we find on the roads ? The parking lot is private property, it belongs to the government/state/county/city/town. Google maps driving through does not mean that anyone else can drive through. A parking area reserved for staff and employees (as the sign stated) is NOT open to the public , the public has no right to be there or wander around filming vehicules, so the ""in plain sight"" doctrine does NOT apply here.
Them filming registration plates etc and posting the video could put peoples lives in danger , ex-convicts could then recognise the vehicules out in public and take revenge against them , as most "auditors" do , they film police and harasse police, follow them shouting insults because 99.99999% of all "auditors" are sovereign citizens , ex-convicts, criminals on probation ((which in many cases lasts years and comes with mandatory random drug tests)) with charges and convictions for :– theft, driving with no licence, no insurance, no registration, theft, burglary aggravated burglary, assault, assault with a deadly weapon/vehicule , assault with a deadly weapon/crowbar, sexual assault, sexual battery , attempted rape , , rape, child abuse, child molestation, kidnap, false imprisonment, inflicing bodily harm on a spouse/cohabitant, manufacture and distribution of GHB the rapists drug, distribution amphetamines, terrorist threats to commit mass murder, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, giving false information to police, everytype of driving offense, speeding, reckless driving, endangering lives, DUI's, etc etc etc .; robbery , armed robbery, etc etc …..
What about wandering around a carpark is holding anyone accoutable for anything ? not exposing misuse of funds, not exposing government corruption, not exposing police excessive force, not exposing police brutality , the only reason to film the parking lot , which is restricted, would be to get the registration plates of police officers and prison warders/guards vehicules , private vehicules and department vehicules.

NEVER turn off the camera just because the cop demands it… tell him you will not turn it off. Make him take it from you and do it himself. That will add a few more tens of thousands of dollars to the lawsuit. If you "voluntarily " turn it off not only will you lose the footage, you will have no cause for claiming a violation, since YOU turned it off without force. It's like when the cop say, "mind if I search your car" and you foolishly say yes go ahead and search.
