And they wonder why people no longer respect LEOs. I grew up in the 50s when we were taught to respect and obey. Currently all too many officers are THUGS!
These officers need to learn from us Native Americans. Elders are to be respected. This probably could have been resolved by talking with him for 1 minute. Shameful.
Update I found online (article from May 8th, 2023):
Former Deputy Sheriff Zachary Fadley was indicted on one count of maliciously wounding Ralph Ennis. Fadley faces a 20-year maximum sentence if convicted.
Current Deputy Sheriff Tyler Poe was indicted on one count of unlawfully wounding Ennis. Poe faces a maximum sentence of five years if convicted.
The defendants are expected to appear soon before the Warren County Circuit Court to be arraigned. A trial date will be scheduled then, the prosecutor's office said.
The officers were indicted! Sad the poor man had to die for no good reason…

There was an indictment in this case on may 8th. Not for murder or manslaughter, curiously, but for malicious assault.
Charge every cop there except the dog for murder.

It takes 5 cops and a dog to apprehend an unarmed 77 year old man, and it's such a difficult task with all those rescources that the old man dies. Maybe more than 6 months training is required to become an officer?
Updates: Both police officers have now been charged with the murder of Ralph Ennis.
Life would be an appropriate sentence.
This hurts me to see something like this happen to someone who just needed to be helped a little bit instead he was killed
That officer, the one who said the line, "Jesus Christ, that was unjust and un-fūcking-called for" is the GOLD STANDARD for how cops should react to a situation like that, and following through with the appropriate action afterwards. Upon graduation, if shown the first part of the clip, a graduate responds with anything other than that, they should get their privilege to be a police officer revoked for life. We need to see how these potential officers respond to different situations, without any guidance, and see how they do, before receiving a service weapon and a badge.

This is why internal investigations need to stop..either fbi or a civilian council should investigate
