22 year-old Paul was sitting outside the CVS store where he works in Edgewater, FL, sitting on a bench waiting for a ride using the Lyft app. Edgewater Police Department Officer Daniel Rippeon observed Paul and concluded that he looked suspicious. No crime had been committed. No crime had been alleged by anyone to have been committed. Yet Paul was almost immediately seized and threatened with being tased and bitten by a police K9. He was taken to jail, despite the fact that Officer Rippeon was fully aware that Paul was a store employee waiting for a Lyft driver.

  2. I just hope he did not lose his job….

EDIT: That is bad that's what is so wrong about this kind of thig. LOse your job have no money for fines, lost (I know uber/lyft is not cheap) that and still had to go to jail. He may not want that job back but I'm sure if this got the hire ups he could. Either way NO job can'y pay fines, warrants come. Glad it was dismissed but it runied that young man.

  3. Wow 👏 that's a big win (esp w/ the CrAzY LEO Laws & other changes Florida's been making). It's honestly our last line of defense & that line keeps narrowing daily.

  4. One of the trainers made a remark that theres no reason to follow a semi truck and not pass them. Ive got one life saving tip for everyone out there. If its dark, rainy, foggy or otherwise hard to see, follow that semi truck. I grew up around a lot of deer, deer are good at running out in front of cars. If your following a semi truck he hits the deer first, and you receive 0 damage to your car or yourself. The results are about the same for the semi truck. Everyone but the deer wins.

  5. Why it that even with all the video evidence and lawsuits of officers blatantly violating people's rights and disregarding their duties to the communities they work in, that the taxpayers have not gotten better protections against these bad apple's financially destroying communities. Qualified immunity should not apply these cases where there is a blatant disregard for the community, imo.

  6. Per the video he is a K-9 unit and I saw another video that suggested that he still has the dog even though he was fired. If I was a citizen of Edgewater I would be pissed that the police department is just giving away vitall assets that we the citizens paid for. Also, having a trained police dog will make it easier for terrible cop to get hired at another law enforcement agency

  7. Honestly CRL, you are doing really, really important and phenomenal work here. I don't feel like I need to say anything that hasn't already been said yet. But just want to thank you for the service you are providing to us US citizens. Thanks a lot.

Also, did that "street cop" admit to raping a woman? Let's dig into that.
