  1. EACH DASH ON THE ROAD REPRESENTS 1 SECOND OF FOLLOWING TIME AND **MINIMUM STOPPING DISTANCE FOR EVERY 10MPH OF SPEED AT THE SPEED LIMIT** THE FASTER THE SPEED THE LONGER THE DASH AND THE LONGER THE GAP BETWEEN DASHES.
DRIVER IS WRONG, driver is interpreting his weight to be >20,000#'s. FEDERAL DOT STATES 1 SECOND FOR EVERY 10 MILES PER HOUR OF SPEED FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES OVER 10,000#'s, THIS IS THE MINIMUM STOPPING DISTANCE IF YOU ARE FORMULA1 DRIVER WITH A <25,000# MOTOR VEHICLE AS MASS/ SPEED = STOPPING DISTANCE SO SAY 25,001#'S /70MPH = 357 FEET TO STOP SAFELY WHICH IS ABOUT 4.5 SECONDS FULLY CONTROLLED BRAKING NO LOCK UP ***MILE=5280FEET***/70MPH= 75 FEET PER SECOND GENERAL RULE OF THUMB IS 1 SECOND OF FOLLOWING TIME FOR EACH 10MPH EVEN IF 1MPH OVER A 10MPH LIKE 11MPH ADD A SECOND SO 2 SECONDS FOR SPEEDS OF 11MPH, 4 SECONDS FOR SPEEDS OF 33MPH 6 SECONDS FOR 55MPH. ALSO FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS LOCAL COPS LOCAL YOKELS FROM ENTERPRISING TRAFFIC STOPS ON FEDERAL ROADS LIKE THE INTERSTATES AND US HIGHWAYS. MAKE SURE THE LOCAL YOKEL COPS HAVE A PERMIT SPECIFICALLY STATING THE DATE, THE TIME OF OPERATION THEY ARE ALLOWED AS WELL AS THE LOCATION OF THE STRETCH OF ROAD PERFECTLY SPELLED OUT IF THE COP SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE IT WITH THEM AND IT IS POSTED AT THE POLICE STATION GO TO THAT POLICE STATION AND GET A PHOTOCOPY AS A SPELLING ERROR CAN VOID OUT THE PERMIT BY DEFAULT. };) WITH OUT THIS PERMIT, THEY HAVE NO JURISDICTIONAL RIGHT UNLESS YOU GIVE PROBABLE CAUSE SUCH AS DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY INJURY OR DEATH. POLICE ARE ALLOWED TO LIE INORDER TO OBTAIN A CONFESSION, MIRANDA LAW. ALL STATE COPS ARE FEDERALLY CERTIFIED TO POLICE FEDERAL ROADS SO THEY DO NOT NEED A PERMIT THEY HAVE JURISDICTION BY DEFAULT OF THEIR FEDERAL CERTIFICATION. "Any lawyer worth his salt will tell the suspect, in no uncertain terms, to make no statement to the police under any circumstances" and for his aphorism describing the Supreme Court, "We are not final because we are infallible, but we are infallible only because we are final." ~~~
Robert Houghwout Jackson (February 13, 1892 – October 9, 1954) was an American lawyer, jurist, and politician who served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1941 until his death in 1954. He had previously served as United States Solicitor General and United States Attorney General, and is the only person to have held all three of those offices. Jackson was also notable for his work as Chief United States Prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials of Nazi war criminals following World War II.

Jackson was the last U.S. Supreme Court justice who did not have a law degree. He was admitted to the bar via the older tradition of an internship under an established lawyer ("reading law") after studying at Albany Law School for just a year.

  2. I'm pretty sure the smaller truck (which pulled in front of Marco) was working WITH that cop. They're not looking for a valid REASON to pull someone over; they will do ANYTHING to get some sort of bullspit EXCUSE to pull someone over. I'm pretty sure that smaller truck might have been an undercover cop car.

  3. Here’s “HIS RULE OF THUMB”. He doesn’t care about the law, state or federal… DOT or Alabama Department of Transportation or FMCSA. He doesn’t give him a ticket because he knew he was wrong. I think this cop just likes to stop people but when he sees they have a camera AND know the law he “lets them go with just a warning “. He knows they can fight it in court and win.

  4. Every time I put more space between me and another car, someone fills the gap. If this cop wanted to pull someone over, wouldn't it have been logical to pull over the pickup truck instead? Of course, but he is a tyrant on the road.

  5. That cop is spouting BS. 6-7 car lengths? A truck or a motorcycle is much worse at breaking than a car. So why is it the same for all these types of vehicles for him? Because his rule of thumb is BS.

  6. I really hope that officer truly was not trying to cause extra trouble or abuse his power because if he wasn’t that would have been such a wholesome video. It makes me so sad what power can make the seemingly sweet old man that lives down the road and always waves hello when you drive by act like.

  7. I mean…it could have been worse? It’s so bad that police abuse their power so often that even when they may still be manipulating or extorting I can’t help but think “oh that went well”. The standards we hold cops to are so low nowadays.

  8. If there was a gap problem, it was clearly created by the vehicle in front of Marcos. I had to go to court in Knoxville TN with similar circumstances. My one hundred dollar dash cam saved me about five thousand dollars. Following to close. Judge dismissed case after watching my video.

  9. It's not really close – it's about a factor of 2. 70 mph over 2 seconds corresponds to ~205 feet, which is just under 14 car lengths, assuming a car length = 15 ft (as opposed to the 7 car lengths the trooper calls for). So if the driver is telling the truth he's substantially safer than what the trooper indicates. But the trooper isn't interested in facts, I don't need to tell anyone that.

  10. I was hauling gas to a store outside Nashville & the State Police pulled me to check my registration. I’m driving a tanker & they asked to see my B.O.L. too. Total waste of my & their) time 😑

  11. CDL requires 4 seconds minimum. plus one second for every extra axle, 10k lbs, and every 5 mph over 45. He was way too close and I wish cops would do what this one did. 2 seconds means this guy is clueless and I wonder how he has a CDL.

  12. Honestly, it looks like the officer peaked at the truck driver and decided he was going to do a drug check. He needed an excuse for the stop so he found one and when everything was in order, he covered his tracks by granting a warning instead of a ticket. Smells bad, man.

  13. Wanna hear another true story. I was in Illinois on I55 north, just finnish smoking a joint then saw a Trooper in the median as always watching (I love it) as I was passing him I saw his wheels move, I knew he was coming for me. As he pulled onto the interstate I put my hazards on and pulled over right away with him behind me 😆 im stoned on weed. He comes and the first thing he says to me is, " I didn't pull you over for your driving, your driving was great." What they were doing was a bliss pulling over every truck and running their papers. I said sweet I love it. I'm stoned yall…… we have a good talk he runs papers comes back said I'm all good, then then, yall I'm stoned on weed I just smoked a J. He tells me, " he wishes more drivers where like me." I shook his hand said thank you sir. We went about our own day after that…. true story.

  14. Wanna hear a funny true story???! I was driving down I40 in Oklahoma just got out of Oklahoma city heading west. I knew there was a weight station coming up just didn't know when really. I was smoking a joint a weed joint lol then boom, station came up under a bridge and I missed it…. they were open….. I knew they were coming for me, roll my windows down let it air out spray my good smelling spray and a Trooper is on my butt, I take the exit pull over, I'm baked just literally finnished smoking a joint. I'm tripping talking to him nice and caring and understanding of what I did and bla bla bla. I had to pay a $150 ticket for missing the station. I had to pay the ticket on the spot and couldn't leave. I asked if he takes debit, he said yes, I smiled said no wayyy how cool is this, gave him my debit card. He runs it, give back my card gives time the receipt and we shake hands have a good talk I wish him well and I love him. He goes about his day I go on with mine. I'm baked yall…. later on I find out he never even put the ticket into the system and it's not on my record. How awesome is that yall!!!!!!!

  15. As a trucker myself, 8 years now. I still yet to run into a bad Trooper, the Trooper could have just pulled him over just to check papers (it's 100% legal, truckers…..) he did not need to make up a lie for why he pulled him over. In a semi you don't have the same rights, you are in a government issued vehicle they can pull us over for any reason they want even just to check your logs all the way to doing a level 1,2 and 3 inspection. Other than that Trooper was ok, just wish he didn't make up a lie.
