In Georgia, Police training is a rigorous program that takes 11 weeks or 440 hours to complete. After a candidate has completed the program, they are eligible for POST certification and for employment as an entry-level law enforcement officer. The amount of hours needed for a Master Barber license as an apprentice in Georgia is 3000 hours. If you are looking to obtain a Barber II license, which allows you to perform most barbering services, excluding chemicals, your need to accumulate 2280 hours. Obviously, getting a good haircut is way more important than getting a good cop!
