Seeing anyone out in public with a weapon that is possibly loaded is VERY disturbing, especially considering how many crazy people live in the states. I am very much against open carry. However, police need to know and understand the laws they enforce. If they don't know whether something is illegal for sure, they should take no action.

When cops are finally held personally accountable for their actions they will thoroughly investigate to make sure they have legal standing before they continue to violate your rights without care and answer the threat of a lawsuit with "That's fine". Not once have I ever seen a cop say, 'let me make sure I'm right before I act". That needs to change.

Unfortunately for her anytime you carry inside the waistband like that it is considered concealed carry and without. Michigan CPL is illegal. To properly open carry it must be outside any clothing and in a holster. Just because she had the grip visible was not enough to constitute open carry.

At U.S. open carry is in most states allowed. That is, why I do not understand, this arrest. At Germany you are not allowed to carry a weapon, when you are not weapon certified person.

The laws of the land need to change to the effect that we should be able to resist unlawful actions of the police right on the spot. We should not have to allow ourselves to to be arrested and then fight it out in the court system.
